Colin McDonald is not your average broker. His passion for innovation and creative exploration inspired him to open the all-digital McDonald Real Estate Company, where he is on a mission to disrupt the conventional real estate industry.

Colin is a Capital Region native and has a deep understanding of the community, the residents, and the business landscape. Colin’s professional background includes significant experience in both public relations and real estate sales and marketing. For a time, he owned and operated the Colin T. McDonald Agency (CTMA) as a marketing consultant, using innovative techniques to elevate the brands of his clients.

Colin has been an NYS Licensed Real Estate Agent since 2015. Before launching his own brokerage in 2021, he was with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services where he ranked among the top agents in the company and brokered the highest closings recorded in Albany County in 2019 and 2020. He is a go-to commentator and host for Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com, and more.

When he’s not testing new technology for the brokerage, Colin can often be found working out at the local gym. He advocates for small businesses, independent restaurants, and the arts, though his own performances are limited to karaoke night at the end of a busy week. Most of all, Colin enjoys the long walks demanded by his Chief Inspiration Officer, a beautiful French Bulldog named Stella.

Colin supports many charitable organizations, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, Bob Woodruff Foundation, Renewal Care Partners, Capital Pride Center, Albany Damien Center, Equinox, The Children's Hospital, and Trinity Alliance.

McDonald Real Estate Company

Advocacy and Experience

With 30-plus years of sales experience, Heather Morra knows a thing or two about negotiating. An advocate for her clients and an expert problem solver, she does what it takes to get a deal done. “Nothing intimidates me, not a thing. I’m not afraid to go toe to toe and have a conversation that some people don’t want to have,” says Heather.

Heather comes from a family steeped in real estate – her father was an appraiser, and her brother-in-law was a prominent California multifamily broker. Before becoming an agent, she was a full-time metalsmith and successful jewelry designer. Her pieces have appeared in numerous publications, including Vogue and Elle magazine.

Heather’s eye for design means she can see the true potential in spaces where others may not – whether it’s helping a buyer see the possibilities of a prospective property or advising a seller on how to spruce up their space to get maximum value. However, her knowledge goes beyond just the visual.

She’s extensively renovated several of her own homes, including her current house in Troy – a gut rehabthat she bought as “4 walls and a staircase.” The lessons she’s learned along the way give her a firm understanding of the systems of a home and all that goes into the renovation process.

This culmination of knowledge, skills, and experience makes Heather a valuable asset to buyers and sellers alike. Comfortable with commercial, residential, and multifamily, she’s excited about teaching her clients how to use real estate as a tool to build long-term wealth.

Working with her means you’ll have someone by your side every step of the way – advising, advocating, and educating. She understands that buying and selling can be daunting. It’s her goal to take the fear out of the process.

Heather chose McDonald Real Estate Company because of its forward-thinking approach to real estate. The all-digital boutique brokerage simplifies the transaction experience by eliminating paper-based processes that can slow a transaction down. Regarding marketing, McDonald Real Estate Company embraces the latest technology to maximize exposure and effectiveness.

Having lived in Troy as a little girl, Heather has returned to the region and fallen in love with all the area offers. The unique architecture, rich history, and abundance of things to do are reasons she loves living in the Capital Region.

When she isn’t helping buyers and sellers, you can find her designing jewelry, something she still loves to do and is now officially her hobby. Visit her at the Troy Farmers Market most Saturday mornings.

Mariah Fazio
Agent | License ID: 10401388481

Born and raised in Guilderland, NY, Mariah Fazio loved fashion and design from an early age. She envisioned herself as an interior designer, choosing curtains and combining colors, patterns, and textures to create a cozy ambiance inside a dream home. As a REALTOR®, Mariah can help her clients do just that—and so much more.

Mariah graduated from Siena College in May 2023, earning a Business Entrepreneurship Management degree. This was a natural fit, as entrepreneurship runs in her blood; her family’s commercial and residential construction business, FMI Masonry, has been creating homes for families for the last 30 years.

Witnessing the homebuilding process from start to finish inspired Mariah to become a REALTOR®, but the satisfaction of pairing an individual or family with their perfect home is her pinnacle of success. Mariah loves the heartwarming feeling of helping people create memories and the pleasure of seeing a house become a home.

Her experience writing estimates and working in the administrative offices of FMI Masonry provided her with the expertise she can use to her clients’ advantage. Her family’s business and real estate go hand in hand.

Mariah joined her boyfriend, Nate Sorce, at McDonald Real Estate in Troy, NY in 2024. As a team, they complement one another’s knowledge and passion. Nate brings business and technical skill while Mariah provides attention to detail with a woman’s eye along with her natural-born leadership and responsibility.

When Mariah is not helping clients find their perfect, cozy home, she’s spending time with Nate and their dog, a five-year-old miniature pinscher named Bentley. She loves reading fantasy, watching romantic comedies, and de-stressing by baking or enjoying home-cooked chicken marsala. Mariah also runs a high-end online jewelry business which she opened her senior year of college: Mariah Nicole LLC.

When clients work with Mariah, they find an outgoing, honest, and easy-to-talk-to agent. She’s dependable, self-motivated, and ready, hand in hand, to help her clients find their perfect home.

Nathaniel Sorce combines determination and vision in his dedication to helping clients find their perfect forever home. Nate’s strong work ethic stems from his close-knit, Italian family. His love of Mediterranean architecture—columns, arches, and domes with golden accents— and fashion designers is imbued with a sense of opulence and luxury.

His love for community involvement has not wavered from childhood and carries through to his career in real estate today. In addition to hard work and his appreciation for beauty, Nate possesses an intimate knowledge of the Capital Region.

Nate attended Albany High where he participated in football, track, basketball, and wrestling. As an all-around athlete, Nate proudly achieved his black belt in karate when he was ten years old and earned the prestigious title of National Champion multiple years; he participated in open-hand, weapons, and combat competitions, specializing in sais for short weapons and bo staff for long weapons.

Nate’s passion for karate translated to his work for the Albany County Recreation Department, focusing on the karate program and helping children and the community grow. Following a move to North Greenbush in 2017, Nate earned his real estate license in 2020 during the pandemic.

However, before diving headfirst into real estate, Nate worked for FMI Masonry, owned and operated by the Fazio Family for over 30 years. They recommended Nate to Colin McDonald of McDonald Real Estate in Troy, NY, and it was a natural fit.

When Nate isn’t helping clients find that perfect home, he enjoys dressing up and going to dinner with his girlfriend, Mariah Fazio, at great Italian restaurants. He cheers for the Buffalo Bills and the Florida Gators and loves spending time with his dog, Bella, a lab and blue healer mix rescued from North Carolina. His extensive knowledge of Albany, Troy, North Greenbush, Saratoga, and beyond is a gift to his clients. His excitement and commitment are tantamount. Nate is a REALTOR® who goes above and beyond to serve the people who put their trust in him.
